Karen Sargsyan

Publication design of Karen Sargsyan ‘The Touching’.

Karen Sargsyan was the winner of the Thieme Art Award during the 2007 Art Amsterdam art fair. The award consisted of a catalog of the artist’s work and a solo exhibition at the next Art Amsterdam.

Sargsyan works primarily with sculptures and paper installations consisting of representations of human figures and situations in the form of theater and tragedy.

The background colors of the publication are the same soft pastel colors Sargsyan uses in his work, alternated with black and white. Typography is subordinate to the work.
